About

Capital, unlocked.

Not just financial capital — capacity, access, opportunity. The name started as a play on the keyboard key, but the site it's built for is the same question I keep coming back to professionally: what's keeping potential locked up, and what does it take to release it?

Where that question comes from

TODO — James: this paragraph should carry your real throughline — urban planning training, into housing finance / mortgage servicing, and the pattern you keep seeing across both: outcomes that trace back to systems, incentives, and the seams between departments that no one owns. A sentence or two on what drew you from planning into finance, and what's held constant across that move, would anchor this well.

What I can say with confidence from what you've shared: you work as a systems thinker and translator first — someone who models a messy situation (a policy, a workflow, a customer experience) to find where it actually breaks, and who increasingly doesn't stop at the recommendation. Generative AI has made it possible to prototype the fix directly — which is what the apps in the portfolio are: small, working answers to specific questions, not exercises.

How I work with people

Good systems work starts with listening — understanding what a partner actually needs before proposing what to build or change. Community planning, cross-functional management, and consulting all come down to the same discipline: hear the real constraint, not just the stated one, and build toward something the people who have to live with it actually want.

GenAI apps built end-to-end — from a mortgage-and-housing tool like Compás to a creative demo like Tlaxcala Trail. Working software, not slideware.

TODO — James: this is the spot for a CV summary or a "Download resume" button, for people evaluating you for a strategy, leadership, consulting, or AI-ops role. Send over the real roles/dates or a PDF and I'll wire it in.

What's next

Still genuinely open — consulting, AI operations, housing policy, urban planning, or some combination that doesn't have a clean job title yet. If you're working on a problem that sits between two of those categories, that's probably exactly the kind of problem worth talking about.
